Teen Gothic

As the title says! Does anyone have any?

I’m fairly new to goth music in general and really enjoy the deep, sultry, sexy side this genera has. Anyone have any recommendations? If not than any artists similar to Elita, Boy Harsher, Glads Spell, or even She Wants Revenge?

Looking specifically for lesbian goth songs but any lgbtq+ related songs would be appreciated as well

like scary bitches, dark, fortress by paradox obscur, vampyre erotica and wytches by incubus succubus etc.

I like goth rock and death rock a lot but a lot of it doesn’t hit for me when i’m in a very depressed state. This probably sounds stupid asf but idgaf. I’m just wondering if anyone knows any goth songs with lyrics or atmospheres that evoke a suicidal, depressive vibe.

A lot of the most popular goth songs seem pretty happy or energetic. I want something that sounds like it was written by someone who lost all hope and only lives in total misery. Something that would feel cathartic if I felt suicidal. Kind of like depressive, suicidal black metal but, without the black metal/harsh vocals.

also: I don’t really like The Cure. I know they have some sad songs but they just never hit the right vibe for me. They’re music isn’t dark or brooding enough, idk.

I'm not even sure if this is considered goth but I've been obsessed with the low-fi/ambient sound it has and would love to find more songs with the same qualities. Recs would be greatly appreciated 🙂

I’m new to goth music and wondered if there are any albums that are a “must listen to”?

I’ve been delving into gothic music over the past year and have officially decided to become a goth myself, and recently I’ve been trying to get into deathrock music such as Voodoo Church and 45 Grave but that’s as far as I’ve gotten.

I was also listening to this band called “The Naked and the Dead” and quite enjoyed their music.

hello! i’m looking for new music similar to the contents of the playlist attached – i’m not really sure what to call this genre (so if anyone can tell me what genre is it specifically, that would be helpful so i can find more music on my own. i’ve researched genres like ethereal wave and neoclassical dark wave since these seem to be slightly similar to this type of music but not exactly what i’m looking for. i found that a lot of ethereal wave music such as Autumns Gray Solace or Love spirals Downward were not energetic enough or, in the kindest way possible, too monotonous. i also found most songs from bands like the frozen autumn to be too electronic.)

the best way i can describe what i’m looking for is an intersection of goth and shoegaze music – so ideally something atmospheric with a lot of guitars, distortion, ethereal (ideally female) vocals, but still gothic mood, lyrics and general sound.

this is probably best represented by:

autumn – the hating tree

mephisto waltz – alle in asche

strange boutique- hills like white elephants

the eden house – to believe in something
